Recent Additions

Once a year we spend some time reflecting on the focus of our website and catalog, intending to deepen our offerings on some topics, to de-emphasize or eliminate other topics, and occasionally to add a new topic or author. We're nearly done with that for 2007, and as a result we've added close to sixty books to our catalog. Forty of those books are by two new featured authors, twenty by Eric Sloane and twenty by Wendell Berry. Most of the rest are books that teach basic homesteading skills.

The job of creating book descriptions for these is tedious and time-consuming, and isn't likely to be done (along with the 2007 catalog) until the end of May. Meanwhile we have copies of all these books in stock, and since some of you might be adventurous enough to order some of them without full descriptions we thought we'd make them available. Most of these books have at least publisher's descriptions added to them, so that should be some help. We'll announce when the new book descriptions are done and available.
